Thank you for visiting our website and we hope that you will consider the European School in Central Asia for the education of your children. Our school is but a few months old but we have engendered a sense of belonging and care within the school community. We are very excited about the type of school we offer. This enthusiasm is mirrored by the community and our numbers have increased considerably since we opened on 1st September 2011. We hope that you will visit our school and meet the children and the teachers and experience the atmosphere first-hand.
The European School opened on 1st September 2011, with children from two to nine years of age as founding pupils. It is founded as a non-profit organisation. The school provides quality education in a supportive, family-orientated environment.
The curriculum is based on the National Curriculum of England and Wales adapted for the international community in Bishkek. Teaching and learning follows a "constructivist", inquiry-based style which is in line with modern education thinking. The programme offered compares very favourably with other international schools.
The programme is led by highly qualified teachers with experience in international curriculum. Learning is in English. However, children from Year one upwards have the opportunity to learn Kyrgyz, Russian and French.
